 On October 29, 2007, our nursing students collaborated with area service organizations to serve the community in our bi-annual SoNShine Day, which stands for School of Nursing Shine Day.
Our students, faculty advisors, and several staff members performed 16 different service projects around the state of Mississippi at locations including: Salvation Army, Rowan Middle School & Brown Elementary health screenings, Winner’s Circle Park 5K Walk/Run, Senior Wellness Fest, Hospice Ministries, Good Samaritan, Byram Volunteer Fire Department, Mustard Seed, and Shoe String Community Center.
