In 1998, the School of Nursing at UMMC created the UNACARE Heath Center with the goal of building a neighborhood center for the residents of Jackson.
In the past ten years, UNACARE has had more than 25,000 patients visit. As a result, UNACARE has added nurse practitioners and nurses who meet the standards for quality and compassionate care.
The UNACARE clinic embraces diversity in their practice, and welcome patients of all ages, racial and ethnic backgrounds, and lifestyles.
