Freshman Early Entry Program - Application Process

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree

Application Process

The Freshman Early Entry program is a joint offering of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, the University of Mississippi and other participating colleges and universities in the Jackson-metropolitan area — Belhaven University, Millsaps College and Tougaloo College. If you wish to participate in the FEE program, you must complete your nursing school prerequisites at one of these colleges. The 63 hours of prerequisites typically take students two years to complete. The Traditional BSN program is a "2+2" program, so once the two years of prerequisites are completed at one of the participating colleges, you will begin nursing school on the University of Mississippi Medical Center campus.

If you have questions related to these prerequisites or the admission criteria, please call the Office of Student Records and Registrar, at (601) 984-1085.

Students, who attend one of the FEE-participating colleges or universities, declare pre-nursing as a major, meet the admissions criteria and submit an application by the November 1 deadline of their freshman year, will be considered for the program. In addition, students, who have declared interest in the Freshman Early Entry program and who meet the FEE criteria, will receive the FEE application instructions from the School of Nursing.

Please note: FEE applicants at Tougaloo College, Millsaps College or Belhaven University must notify the School of Nursing of your interest in the Freshman Early Entry program. Please contact nsrecruiter@umc.edu.
