In addition, the SON is located on Mississippi's only academic health science campus. UMMC also has the state's only Level 1 trauma center, as well as the state's only children's hospital. Program Description

 

The purpose of the post-master's program is to prepare nurses for advanced roles in nursing and provide a solid foundation for additional graduate study. Eligible students may be from Mississippi or surrounding states. Out-of-state tuition scholarships are available on a competitive basis.

 

The educational programs at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
