As with anything, the key to success is to start early while time is on your side. Many financial aid documents have deadlines that need to met. Please pay special attention to those deadlines.

| Applying for Financial Aid |
The
Division of Student Services and Records sends a financial aid packet
to students who have met admission requirements and have been chosen to
attend the School of Nursing. Applicants should not apply for financial
aid until an official letter of acceptance has been received.
Newly-accepted students who need financial assistance should contact the Office of Student Financial Aid at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (601) 984-1117.
Financial aid support comes from federal, state, and private sources.

| Priority Consideration |
In order to be given priority consideration for assistance, all financial aid applications must be completed by March 15 .
Students applying for financial assistance at UMMC must:
1. Apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN) online at www.pin.ed.gov.
2. Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov (using UMMC's Federal School Code 004688).
3. Complete Entrance Counseling online at http://financialaid.umc.edu/
Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) has financial aid information available for nursing students.

| Scholarships |
The University of Mississippi School of Nursing awards several scholarships. All students who apply and are accepted to the UMMC School of Nursing are eligible for these scholarships.
Enrolled students are selected based on academic performance and/or financial need from information submitted with their application packet. Students are informed of these awards through the Office of Student Affairs.
