SoN Ambassadors

 

The Ambassadors act as official representatives of the UMMC School of Nursing and participate in many activities throughout the year.

Who are the Ambassadors?
As the official student representatives of the School of Nursing, Ambassadors are involved in the following activities:

  1. Participate in recruitment events.
  2. Provide campus tours to prospective students
  3. Lead orientation groups.
  4. Serve as mentors to incoming students.
  5. Host a Fall  Event for students, faculty, and staff.
  6. Meet course requirements in a 3-hour leadership course.
  7. Receive recognition at Honors Day.

What is the selection process?
Selected during the third semester of the generic BSN program, Ambassadors must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 to apply. They must complete an application with documented leadership activities and participate in an interview.

Applications are available in February through the Office of Student Affairs. Selection is made in late March.
