Three faculty members and a student from the SON will be recognized at upcoming events. .

 

Dr. Sharon Wyatt will be recognized Monday, February 18, at the UMMC Excellence in Research Recognition Dinner. Dr. Wyatt will received the Platinum Award for research.

 

Dr. Lisa Haynie will be recognized Tuesday, February 19 by the Mississippi Association of Colleges at the State Capitol as UMMC's outstanding faculty member. This event is called the Higher Education Appreciation Day - Working for Academic Excellence (HEADWAE). The organization also recognizes a student, and UMMC SON is proud to be the educational home for this year's UMMC student winner - Lynn Jackson.

 

Dr. Sheila Davis will be recognized on Thursday, February 21, at the IHL Board meeting as the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning's Black History Month Educator of the Year.
