Dedicated nurses use their training in a number of ways after graduating from the School of NursingGeneric undergraduate students who successfully complete the academic requirements for graduation from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing are assisted in the application process for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Mississippi Board of Nursing. Section 73-15-19 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 (Revised July 1, 1983) describes the qualifications for Registered Nurse applicants. The 2003 NCLEX pass rate for UMC School of Nursing graduates was 95%.
